Product Specific Information
This antibody recognizes a sialidase-sensitive extracellular epitope of CD45RB, a 180–240 kDa single chain type I membrane glycoprotein, variant of CD45 (CD45RB isoform).
CD45RB is expressed on subsets of T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes, and dendritic cells.
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): No pre-treatment of tissue sections is needed.
Target Information
CD45RB is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase, part of the CD45 glycoprotein family.
CD45 is essential in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, acting as a regulator of Src-family kinases. It promotes cell survival via integrin-mediated signaling and participates in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
CD45 isoforms differ in extracellular domains but share identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. Expression varies by cell type and physiological state.
CD45RB is found in microglia and inflammatory cells, and is expressed on cells of the human hematopoietic lineage except mature red cells.
