Product Specific Information

The FN50 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD69 (Very Early Activation Antigen, VEA). CD69 (~30 kDa) is expressed as a disulfide-linked dimer and rapidly upregulated upon activation on lymphocytes, monocytes, and platelets.

• Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
• Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and validated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells
• Recommended Usage: 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test (100 µL final volume)
• Cell Range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test

Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 600 nm. Recommended filter: 610/20 bandpass.

Staining Panel Guidance:
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, employ Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.

Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark, maintaining brightness and FRET efficiency.

Excitation/Emission: 405 nm / 600 nm

Target Information

CD69 (AIM, Active Inducer Molecule) is a gp28/34 disulfide-bonded homodimer (~60 kDa under non-reducing conditions). It contains one or two N-linked oligosaccharides and is present on activated platelets. CD69 is involved in lymphocyte signal transduction and is induced upon T lymphocyte activation, potentially playing a role in proliferation and signal transmission in NK cells and platelets.
Diseases associated with CD69 dysfunction include coccidiodomycosis and asthma.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
