Product Specific Information
The H1.2F3 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD69, also known as very early activation antigen (VEA). CD69 (~35 kDa) is expressed as a disulfide-linked dimer. A small subset of lymphocytes in the thymus, spleen, and lymph nodes express CD69, and activation of T and B cells rapidly upregulates its surface expression, indicating a role in lymphocyte development and activation.

Fluorochrome characteristics:
Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited by the 405 nm violet laser and emits at 600 nm. Use a 610/20 bandpass filter. Ensure instrument compatibility.
Staining recommendation:
When using multiple Super Bright-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information
CD69 (AIM, Active Inducer Molecule) is a gp28/34 disulfide-bonded homodimer (~60 kDa under non-reducing conditions). It contains one or two N-linked oligosaccharides and is present on activated platelets. In normal peripheral blood, a variable percentage of cells express CD69, which is involved in lymphocyte signal transduction and activation. Expression is induced upon T lymphocyte activation, potentially contributing to proliferation and signal transduction in NK cells and platelets.
Diseases associated with CD69 dysfunction include coccidiodomycosis and asthma.
