Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, 50–100% cross-reactivity with recombinant human TPSAB1 and recombinant mouse Mcpt6 is observed.
- 20–100% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Mcpt7 is observed.
- No cross-reactivity with recombinant human TPSG1, mouse TPS5, Mcpt1, or Mcpt11.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
TPSB2 is a protein coding gene belonging to the tryptase family of serine proteases (peptidase family S1).
Tryptases are active only as heparin-stabilized tetramers and resistant to endogenous proteinase inhibitors.
These genes cluster on chromosome 16p13.3 and share conserved 3′ UTRs with tandem repeats regulating mRNA stability.
Distinct allelic variations exist, historically classified as beta II and beta III.
Beta tryptases are primarily expressed in mast cells, while alpha tryptases dominate in basophils.
Tryptases are implicated in asthma and allergic or inflammatory disorders.
