Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody bg1fpj recognizes mouse CD369 (Dectin-1, CLEC7A), a type II transmembrane protein of the C-type lectin family. Its ligand is β1,3-glucan, a major polysaccharide component found in fungal, plant, and some bacterial cell walls.
CD369 binds to Candida, Aspergillus, Pneumocystis, Coccidioides, and Mycobacterium. Ligand binding triggers Syk-dependent signaling through the ITAM domain, leading to endocytosis/phagocytosis and cytokine production (IL-2, IL-6, IL-10, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-23).
This receptor is involved in Th17 and Th1 differentiation and is mainly expressed on myeloid cells (neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells), with low expression on lymphocytes and mucosal epithelium.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric staining of mouse lysed whole blood cells at ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Adjust cell number empirically (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Titrate antibody for optimal performance.

Target Information

CLEC7A (Dectin-1) is a type II membrane glycoprotein receptor of the C-type lectin-like domain (CTLD) family, predominantly expressed on myeloid cells. It functions as a pattern-recognition receptor (PRR) recognizing β-1,3- and β-1,6-linked glucans from fungi and plants, playing a key role in innate immune responses.
Upon fungal exposure, CLEC7A activates Syk kinase, inducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) formation and oxidative burst.
