This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened to select optimal candidates.

Target Information
Conserved dopamine neurotrophic factor (CDNF) is a neurotrophic factor for dopaminergic neurons, homologous to mesencephalic astrocyte-derived neurotrophic factor. CDNF is expressed at higher levels in heart, skeletal muscle, and testes than in brain.
Similar to glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF), CDNF can prevent 6-hydroxylamine (6-OHDA) induced degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in rat models of Parkinson’s disease. It also restores dopaminergic function and prevents neuronal degeneration in the substantia nigra, suggesting potential therapeutic relevance for Parkinson’s disease.
At least two isoforms of CDNF are known to exist.
