Target Information
Conserved dopamine neurotrophic factor (CDNF)는 도파민성 뉴런을 위한 신경영양인자로, mesencephalic astrocyte-derived neurotrophic factor와 높은 상동성을 가집니다.
CDNF는 뇌보다 심장, 골격근, 고환 등에서 더 높은 발현을 보이며, GDNF와 유사하게 6-hydroxydopamine(6-OHDA)로 유도된 도파민 뉴런의 퇴화를 방지합니다.
또한 CDNF는 도파민 기능 회복 및 흑질(substantia nigra)에서의 뉴런 퇴화를 억제하여 파킨슨병 치료에 유용할 가능성이 있습니다.
CDNF는 최소 두 가지 isoform이 존재하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
