• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

Serum amyloid A (SAA) family comprises several differentially expressed apolipoproteins, including acute-phase SAA1 and SAA2, with SAA1 being the major plasma component. Although the liver is the primary synthesis site, extrahepatic production occurs. In vivo concentrations can increase up to 1000-fold during inflammation. SAA is useful for diagnosis and monitoring of various diseases, often rising earlier and more sharply than CRP. Recent studies have expanded understanding of SAA expression and function.
