Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human PDGF-BB. The anti-Human PDGF-BB-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:

• Recommended concentration: 0.25–1.0 µg/mL (100 µL/well)
• Detection limit: 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hPDGF-BB
• Use in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human PDGF-BB (500-P47) as a capture antibody.

Western Blot:

• Recommended concentration: 0.1–0.2 µg/mL
• Detection limit: 1.5–3.0 ng/lane of Recombinant hPDGF-BB
• Suitable under both reducing and non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

The PDGF-BB protein belongs to the platelet-derived growth factor family, known for its mitogenic activity on mesenchymal cells. Members of this family share a conserved eight-cysteine motif. PDGF-BB can form homodimers or heterodimers (PDGF-AB) with PDGF-A, linked by disulfide bonds. Mutations in PDGF-B are linked to meningioma and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, associated with chromosomal translocations involving COL1A1. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
