Target Information
NEDD4L is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that transfers ubiquitin from an E2 enzyme to target substrates.
It inhibits TGF-beta signaling by inducing SMAD2 and TGFR1 ubiquitination and proteasome-dependent degradation.
NEDD4L promotes ubiquitination and internalization of plasma membrane channels such as ENaC, Nav1.2–Nav1.8, Kv1.3, EAAT1, and CLC5, and also promotes degradation of SGK.
