Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody SolA15 recognizes mouse and rat Ki-67, a 300 kDa nuclear protein expressed during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, and mitosis), but absent in resting cells (G0). Ki-67 serves as a proliferation marker, indicating the growth fraction of a cell population. It is also detected in human, non-human primate, and canine Ki-67.

Applications Reported: Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested using mouse splenocytes and the Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00). Recommended ≤1.0 µg/test.

For optimal performance, antibody titration is recommended.
Brilliant Violet™ 711 (BV711) emits at 713 nm and is suitable for cytometers with a 405 nm violet laser.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (#SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (#00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
Fixation: Compatible with IC Fixation Buffer (#00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (#00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C.
Note: BV711 is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during late G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle. It associates with euchromatin and heterochromatin through its FHA domain. Ki-67 expression correlates with cell proliferation and is absent in G0 cells. It is a key marker for assessing tumor growth and cell cycle progression, with strong correlation between low Ki-67 index and low-grade tumors. Commonly used as a neuronal proliferation marker.
