Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve an antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
MDM2 is a primary regulator of p53 protein stability. MDMX (also known as MDM4) inhibits MDM2-mediated degradation of p53 through distinct interactions. The MDMX gene is often amplified in malignant gliomas. ARF binds MDMX, sequestering it in the nucleolus and enhancing p53 transactivation. MDMX expression can counteract MDM2-induced p53 degradation while maintaining suppression of p53 activity. MDMX also binds and stabilizes p73, increasing its half-life.
