Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The MDM2 protein regulates p53 stability. MDMX (also known as MDM4) inhibits MDM2-mediated degradation of p53 through distinct interactions. Amplification of the MDMX gene is observed in malignant gliomas. ARF binds MDMX and sequesters it in the nucleolus, enhancing p53 transactivation. MDMX expression can counteract MDM2-mediated p53 degradation while maintaining suppression of p53 activity. MDMX also binds and stabilizes p73, increasing its half-life.
