- Low-endotoxin, preservative-free formulation (endotoxin level <0.01 EU/µg).

- Rat anti-Mouse CD40 antibody, clone 3/23, recognizes the murine CD40 cell surface glycoprotein.
Target Information
CD40 is a single-chain glycoprotein belonging to the TNF/NGF superfamily, showing homology to CD30. It is expressed on all B cells except plasma cells, and also on certain epithelial cells, carcinomas, and dendritic cells. CD40 plays an essential role in immune and inflammatory responses, including T cell-dependent immunoglobulin class switching, memory B cell development, and germinal center formation.
The AT-hook transcription factor AKNA regulates CD40 expression, influencing cell interactions. TNFR2 interacts with CD40 to mediate signal transduction. The CD40–CD40L interaction is necessary for amyloid-beta-induced microglial activation, implicated in early Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported. CD40 dysfunction is associated with Type 3 Hyper-IgM immunodeficiency and CD40 ligand deficiency.
