Target Information
Fumarate Hydratase(FH)는 TCA 회로(Krebs cycle)의 효소 성분으로, fumarate를 L-malate로 전환하는 반응을 촉매합니다. 세포질형과 미토콘드리아형 두 가지 형태로 존재하며, 미토콘드리아형은 N-말단 확장 서열이 제거되어 세포질형과 동일한 형태로 전환됩니다. FH는 호모테트라머로 작용하며, 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 fumarase 결핍증을 유발하여 진행성 뇌병증을 초래할 수 있습니다.
