This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and the best candidates are selected for production.

This antibody specifically recognizes Human FDPS (Farnesyl Diphosphate Synthase).
Target Information
The isoprene biosynthetic pathway provides cholesterol, ubiquinone, and other nonsterol metabolites. Farnesylpyrophosphate synthetase catalyzes the formation of geranyl and farnesylpyrophosphate from isopentenylpyrophosphate and dimethylallyl pyrophosphate.
Studies in rat liver using immunofluorescence and immunoelectron microscopy show FDPS is mainly localized in peroxisomes. Liver tissues from patients with peroxisomal deficiency diseases such as Zellweger syndrome and neonatal adrenoleukodystrophy show reduced FDPS activity and impaired isoprenoid synthesis.
