Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
The RAMP2 protein is a member of the receptor activity modifying protein (RAMP) family, which are single-transmembrane-domain proteins. RAMPs are essential for transporting the calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CRLR) to the plasma membrane. CRLR can function as either a calcitonin-gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor or an adrenomedullin receptor depending on the RAMP expressed. In the presence of RAMP2, CRLR functions as an adrenomedullin receptor. RAMP2 is involved in core glycosylation and transport of the adrenomedullin receptor to the cell surface.
