Product Specific Information
- Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining using 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
- After retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Suggested positive control: placenta or liver carcinoma.
Target Information
GPC3 (Glypican 3) is a cell surface proteoglycan bearing heparan sulfate. It may function in the suppression or modulation of growth in mesodermal tissues and organs and influence IGF2 receptor interactions.
Members of the glypican family are GPI-anchored membrane proteoglycans involved in cell division, growth regulation, and tumor predisposition.
Mutations in GPC3 cause Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome (SGBS), characterized by pre- and postnatal overgrowth with visceral and skeletal anomalies.
