Target Information
TBK1 (TANK-binding kinase 1) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the IKK family, involved in NF-κB activation and IRF3 signaling. It acts as a key mediator of immune and inflammatory gene expression. TBK1 phosphorylates IκB, leading to activation of NF-κB. It is also known as NAK (NF-κB-activating kinase) or T2K, and functions upstream of NIK and the IKK complex. TBK1 plays a crucial role in protecting embryonic liver cells from apoptosis.
