Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This antibody is directed against the FLAG epitope tag and is useful for detecting FLAG-tagged proteins in various assays. It recognizes the FLAG epitope (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) fused to either the amino- or carboxy-terminus of target proteins in transfected or transformed cells.
Target Information
DYKDDDDK tag (FLAG tag) is an eight–amino acid peptide (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) commonly used as a protein tag for purification, detection, and localization. It can be fused to either the N- or C-terminus of a protein, enabling easy identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies. The FLAG tag is hydrophilic, reducing the risk of protein denaturation or inactivation. Widely used in molecular biology and biochemistry research for protein-protein interaction, expression, and localization studies.
