Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Cross-reactivity is expected with human, mouse, and rat based on sequence identity of the peptide immunogen. This antibody does not react with the MEK1 isoform.
Target Information
MAP2K2 (MEK2) is a dual specificity serine/threonine kinase involved in mitogen growth factor signal transduction. MEK2 activates ERK1/2 and MAPK enzymes by phosphorylating residues within the TEY motif of the activation loop. MEK1/2 are activated by dual phosphorylation on serine 218 and 222, while threonine 292 of MEK1 is phosphorylated by ERK2 as a negative feedback mechanism.
