Product Specific Information
The ICRF44 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD11b, a 165 kDa adhesion molecule. CD11b, associated with integrin beta2 (CD18), is expressed on monocytes, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, and a subset of NK cells. It serves as a receptor for ICAM family members (CD54, CD102, CD50) and iC3b, essential for cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.

Super Bright 780 Dye Characteristics
- Tandem dye excited by violet laser (405 nm), emits at 780 nm

- Compensation values may differ between beads and cells; set compensation using stained cells for accuracy
Fixation Guidance
- Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C (dark).
- Clone-specific performance after fixation should be determined empirically.

Target Information
CD11b (integrin alpha-M, ITGAM) is a 165 kDa adhesion molecule that forms a heterodimer with integrin beta-2 (CD18), known as Mac-1 or CR3. It is expressed on monocytes/macrophages, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, NK cells, dendritic cells, and microglia.
- Functions as receptor for ICAM-1, ICAM-2, ICAM-4, CD14, CD50, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and Factor X
- Commonly used as a microglial marker in nervous tissue
- Expression varies with macrophage type and tissue
