Target Information
TCP-1 theta는 CCT(chaperonin containing TCP1 complex)의 theta 서브유닛으로, 진핵세포질 내에서 풍부하게 존재하며 새로 합성된 단백질의 수송 및 조립에 관여합니다.
이 단백질은 ATP 가수분해를 통해 단백질 접힘을 돕는 분자 샤페론으로 작용하며, BBsome 복합체의 조립에 관여하여 섬모 형성(ciliogenesis) 과정에서 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 actin과 tubulin의 접힘에도 관여합니다.
CCT 복합체는 8개의 폴리펩타이드로 구성된 이중 링 구조를 가지며, VHL 종양 억제 단백질의 접힘에도 필수적입니다.
