Target Information
RGS14는 G-단백질 신호 조절 인자(RGS) 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 하나의 RGS 도메인, 두 개의 Raf-like Ras-binding 도메인(RBDs), 하나의 GoLoco 도메인을 포함합니다.
이 단백질은 활성화된 GTP 결합 Gα 서브유닛에 결합하여 GTP를 GDP로 전환하는 속도를 높이는 GTPase 활성화 단백질(GAP)로 작용함으로써 G-단백질 신호를 억제합니다.
그 결과 Gα 서브유닛이 Gβ/γ 이합체와 결합하여 비활성 G-단백질 삼합체를 형성하고 신호 전달이 종료됩니다.
RGS14는 미세소관 중합 및 방추체 조직화를 촉진하며, 세포 분열, 신경 성장 인자(NGF) 매개 신경돌기 성장 및 스트레스 저항에 관여합니다.
또한 시각 기억 처리 능력과 해마 기반 학습 및 기억에도 관련이 있는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
