Product Specific Information
- Antibody is tested in direct ELISA.
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA-fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Cadherins are a family of Ca²⁺-dependent adhesion molecules that mediate cell-cell binding, essential for structural maintenance and morphogenesis.
Cadherin-16 (Ksp-Cadherin) is a type I membrane protein expressed specifically in the kidney, localized to the basolateral membrane of renal tubular epithelial cells.
The human Ksp-cadherin gene (Cadherin-16) maps to chromosome 16q21–proximal 16q22, while the mouse Ksp-cadherin gene is localized to a syntenic region of distal chromosome 8.
