Immunoelectrophoresis result:
Single precipitin arc observed against anti-biotin, anti-rabbit serum, as well as purified and partially purified Glutathione-S-Transferase (Schistosoma japonicum).
Cross-reactivity with GST from other sources may occur but has not been specifically determined.

Target Information

GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing various reactions. It is widely used to create GST gene fusion systems, allowing purification of GST-fusion proteins via their high affinity for glutathione. These fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying protein–protein interactions. The GST gene fusion system is incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
