• For IHC (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

CD5 is a 67 kDa human T-lymphocyte single-chain transmembrane glycoprotein. It is present on all mature T-lymphocytes, most thymocytes, and many T-cell leukemias and lymphomas. CD5 also reacts with a subpopulation of activated B-cells and may act as a receptor regulating T-cell proliferation.

• Found on 95% of thymocytes and 72% of peripheral blood lymphocytes
• Main reactivity in lymph node T-cell areas
• Expressed in many T-cell leukemias, lymphomas, and activated T cells
• Diseases associated: Thymus cancer, Richter’s Syndrome
