Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed):
- Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues, heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
CD5 is a 67 kDa human T-lymphocyte single-chain transmembrane glycoprotein.
It is expressed on:
- All mature T-lymphocytes
- Most thymocytes
- Many T-cell leukemias and lymphomas
Also reacts with a subset of activated B-cells and may regulate T-cell proliferation.
In lymph nodes, main reactivity is observed in T-cell areas.
Diseases associated with CD5 dysfunction include thymus cancer and Richter’s Syndrome.
