Product Specific Information

The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb). CD41 is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and hematopoietic progenitor cells. It forms a receptor complex with CD61 that mediates platelet adhesion and aggregation.

Recent studies show that CD41 expression helps identify hematopoietic stem cells (HSC). CD150⁺CD48⁻CD41⁻ cells efficiently confer long-term multilineage reconstitution in irradiated mice.

Each product includes:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Important Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are incompatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., PI, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability assays.
• CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining.
• Add 5 µL of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer per sample before combining with cells.

Target Information

CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) forms a receptor complex with CD61 in the presence of calcium, mediating platelet aggregation and adhesion to fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin. Expressed mainly in the megakaryocyte-platelet lineage, CD41 is also involved in early hematopoietic differentiation.
Diseases associated with CD41 dysfunction include Glanzmann Thrombasthenia and Platelet type-16 bleeding disorder.
