Product Specific Information

The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb). CD41 is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and hematopoietic progenitors. It forms a receptor complex with CD61, mediating platelet adhesion and aggregation via fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin binding.

Recent studies show CD150+CD48−CD41− profiles efficiently identify hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs).

Each product includes:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Flow cytometry of mouse platelets (≤0.125 µg/test). Optimize antibody concentration empirically.

Important Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are incompatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., PI, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.
• CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) should be used for optimal staining.
  • Add 5 µL per sample before mixing with cells.
  • For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL sample containing 10³–10⁸ cells.

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology based on nucleic acid dye structures engineered for minimal spillover and spread.

Target Information

CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) consists of α (120 kDa) and β (23 kDa) subunits that interact with CD61 in the presence of calcium to form a functional adhesive receptor. It mediates platelet aggregation and binds von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin. CD41 is mainly expressed in the megakaryocyte-platelet lineage and during early hematopoietic differentiation.
Diseases associated with CD41 dysfunction include Glanzmann Thrombasthenia and Platelet type-16 bleeding disorder.
