Product Specific Information

The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb).
CD41 is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and hematopoietic progenitors in embryos, fetuses, and adults. It forms a receptor with CD61 (gpIIIa, integrin beta III) that mediates platelet adhesion and aggregation.

Recent studies show that CD150+CD48-CD41- expression efficiently identifies hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs).

Each product includes:

• 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
• 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse platelets at ≤0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration recommended.

Important Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are incompatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., PI, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability assays.
• CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining.
  • Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells.
  • For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, enabling engineered fluorescence with reduced spillover and spread.

Internal testing shows NovaFluor Yellow 660 may non-specifically stain B cells in SJL mice, but not in BALB/c or C57BL/6 strains.

Target Information

CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) is a heterodimer composed of 120 kDa alpha and 23 kDa beta subunits.
It interacts with CD61 in the presence of calcium to form an adhesive receptor involved in platelet aggregation and blood coagulation.
CD41 binds to von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin.
Expressed mainly in megakaryocyte-platelet lineage and early hematopoietic differentiation stages.
Associated diseases include Glansmann Thrombasthenia and Platelet type-16 bleeding disorder.
