Target Information

This gene is part of the Cys-Cys (CC) cytokine family located on chromosome 17q. CC cytokines are secreted proteins involved in immune regulation and inflammation. The encoded cytokine exhibits chemotactic activity specifically for eosinophils and is implicated in eosinophilic inflammatory diseases such as atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, asthma, and parasitic infections.
