Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45332 was sufficient for detection of Drosophila HSP70 using an indirect assay with rabbit anti-rat IgG and goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP. Detects approximately 70 kDa (heat-inducible form).
Target Information
HSP70 is a heat shock protein expressed in response to various biological stresses, including high temperatures. It is part of a conserved family that includes HSP70, HSP90, and HSP100. HSP70 stabilizes existing proteins against aggregation and assists in folding newly synthesized proteins. It also participates in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway through interaction with AU-rich element RNA-binding protein 1. The HSP70 gene is located in the MHC class III region along with two closely related genes encoding similar proteins.
