Target Information
GOT1 (Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase 1) is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme that exists in cytoplasmic (GOT1) and mitochondrial (GOT2) forms. It plays a key role in amino acid metabolism, as well as in the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. Both enzymes are homodimeric and share close homology.
