Product Specific Information
- Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
- After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4°C in the dark.
- For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
- Mouse anti-Pig CD163 antibody (clone 2A10/11) recognizes porcine CD163, an approximately 120 kDa single-pass type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on monocyte/macrophage lineage cells.
Target Information
CD163 (M130 antigen, Ber-Mac3, Ki-M8, SM4) is a 130 kDa membrane glycoprotein and a member of the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich superfamily. It acts as a receptor for the hemoglobin-haptoglobin complex, protecting tissues from oxidative damage and mediating iron recycling via endocytosis.
CD163 is expressed on human monocytes and macrophages, upregulated by IL-10, IL-6, and dexamethasone, and shed upon stimulation with LPS or PMA. It binds hemoglobin/haptoglobin complexes in a calcium- and pH-dependent manner and triggers intracellular signaling leading to IL-6 and CSF1 secretion.
