ACVR1C는 세린/트레오닌 단백질 키나아제로 TGFB 신호 전달 분자의 type I receptor 역할을 합니다.
이 수용체 복합체는 2개의 type II 및 2개의 type I 막관통 세린/트레오닌 키나아제로 구성되며, type II 수용체가 type I 수용체를 인산화 및 활성화합니다. 활성화된 type I 수용체는 SMAD2 및 SMAD3를 인산화하여 핵으로 이동시키며, DNA 또는 다른 전사 인자와 상호작용합니다.
ACVR1C는 activin AB, activin B 및 NODAL의 수용체로 작용하며, 세포 분화, 성장 정지, 세포사멸 과정에 관여합니다.
