Target Information
Human IgG4, also known as human immunoglobulin G4, is a subclass of human IgG antibodies produced by the immune system in response to antigens. It is the least abundant subclass of IgG in the blood and plays a minor role in defense against pathogens. IgG4 binds to specific antigens and promotes their clearance through mechanisms such as phagocytosis and complement activation. It is also involved in immune tolerance and suppression of inflammation. Human IgG4 is useful in research for studying immune responses and developing diagnostic and therapeutic tools for infectious and autoimmune diseases.
