CDK1 (Cell Division Control protein 1)는 세포주기 조절에 필수적인 단백질로, M-phase Promoting Factor의 촉매 서브유닛으로 작용하여 유사분열의 개시를 유도합니다.
CDK1은 진핵세포에서 보존된 단백질로, G2/M기 세포에서 Bcl-2의 인산화를 매개하여 세포사멸의 개시를 지연시킬 수 있습니다. 또한, CDK 억제제 NU2058은 안드로겐 비의존성 전립선암에서 치료적 잠재력을 보이는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
