Target Information
The Schlafen (SLFN) family of proteins are preferentially expressed in lymphoid tissues and are regulated during thymocyte maturation. They are thought to play roles in cell growth, hematopoietic differentiation, and T cell development. Most members contain a divergent AAA domain (AAA_4) associated with ATP binding. SLFN14 is a recently identified member of this family, and its specific function remains under investigation.
