This antibody detects endogenous levels of PYK2 only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 580.
Target Information
PTK2B (FAK2) is a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase involved in calcium-induced regulation of ion channels and activation of the MAP kinase signaling pathway. It regulates actin cytoskeleton reorganization, cell polarization, migration, adhesion, and bone remodeling. FAK2 is essential for normal humoral immune response and B-cell migration. Aberrant expression is linked to various cancers, including gliomas, hepatocellular carcinoma, lung, and breast cancer.
