Target Information
ZADH2 (zinc binding alcohol dehydrogenase domain containing 2) is a 377 amino acid protein belonging to the zinc-containing alcohol dehydrogenase family. It is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 18, which contains over 300 protein-coding genes and spans approximately 76 million bases.
Defects in chromosome 18-localized genes are associated with various diseases, including:
- Trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome)
- Niemann-Pick disease
- Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia
- Erythropoietic protoporphyria
- Follicular lymphomas
