Target Information
USP42 (ubiquitin specific peptidase 42)는 peptidase C19 패밀리에 속하는 1,325 아미노산 단백질로, 다양한 조직에서 발현됩니다.
이 단백질은 유비퀴틴 C-말단 thioester를 자유 유비퀴틴과 thiol로 전환하는 반응을 촉매합니다.
USP42 유전자는 인간 염색체 7에 위치하며, 해당 염색체는 1,000개 이상의 유전자를 포함하고 전체 게놈의 약 5%를 차지합니다.
염색체 7의 일부 유전자 결함은 Osteogenesis imperfecta, Williams-Beuren 증후군, Pendred 증후군, Lissencephaly, Citrullinemia, Shwachman-Diamond 증후군 등과 관련이 있습니다.
