Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening individual clones to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Human pregnancy-specific glycoproteins (PSG) are a group of closely related secreted glycoproteins highly expressed in placental syncytiotrophoblast cells of fetal origin. PSG are commonly expressed in tumors of trophoblast origin (hydatidiform mole, choriocarcinoma) and represent the most abundant fetal protein in maternal blood at term.
The eleven human PSG genes (PSG1–PSG11) form, together with the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA)-related cell adhesion molecule (CEACAM) genes, the CEACAM gene family. PSG stimulates secretion of TH2-type cytokines from monocytes. CD9 has been shown to represent the monocyte receptor for murine PSG17. PSG are thought to modulate the maternal immune system during pregnancy, protecting the semiallotypic fetus from rejection.
