Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of cGKII only when phosphorylated at Ser126.
Target Information
PRKG2 (PKG2, cGKII) exhibits many cellular functions and has cAMP- and cGMP-dependent protein kinase activity.
cGKII is thought to play a key role in various physiological pathways, including intestinal secretion of water and electrolytes induced by E. coli toxin STa and guanylin.
It is postulated to act as a molecular switch that couples cessation of proliferation and initiation of hypertrophic chondrocyte differentiation through attenuation of SOX9 function.
