Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Collagen IV is a major constituent of basement membranes, along with laminins and enactins. It is composed of alpha 1(IV) and alpha 2(IV) chains in a 2:1 ratio and forms insoluble fibers with high tensile strength. Antibody to collagen IV is useful for detecting loss of basement membrane components in carcinomas.
