Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Cytochrome b5 is a membrane-bound heme protein that functions as an electron carrier for various membrane-bound oxygenases. It contains two non-covalently attached heme groups and exists in two isoforms — a microsomal membrane-bound form and a cytoplasmic form — produced by alternative splicing. Mutations in cytochrome b5 are associated with Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy and myopathy.
