Description:
The eBioABL-93 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD107b, also known as lysosomal-associated membrane protein-2 (LAMP-2). CD107b is a highly glycosylated protein (~120 kDa) expressed in lysosomal membranes and transiently on the surface of cytolytic T cells during degranulation. It has been reported that CD107b may be identical to the mouse Mac-3 antigen.
Applications Reported:
This antibody is suitable for intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis, and for surface staining in flow cytometric degranulation assays.
Applications Tested:
Tested by intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of thioglycollate-elicited peritoneal macrophages. Recommended ≤1 µg/test (in 100 µL final volume). Optimal titration is advised for each assay.

LAMP2 (Lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein 2, CD107b)
LAMP2 is a member of a family of lysosomal membrane glycoproteins involved in lysosome biogenesis, fusion with phagosomes, and autophagy regulation. It provides selectins with carbohydrate ligands and may play a role in tumor metastasis and lysosomal maintenance.
The mature LAMP2 protein (~100–130 kDa) is heavily glycosylated and consists of:
- A large amino-terminal intra-lysosomal domain
- A hydrophobic transmembrane domain
- A short carboxyl-terminal cytoplasmic tail
LAMP2 deficiency leads to accumulation of autophagosomes and is associated with Danon’s disease.
Variants include LAMP-2A, -2B, and -2C.
