Target Information

ELL is an elongation factor component of the super elongation complex (SEC), which enhances RNA polymerase II transcription by reducing transient pausing.
It also functions within the little elongation complex (LEC), regulating small nuclear RNA (snRNA) gene transcription by RNA polymerase II and III.
ELL stabilizes RNA polymerase II during recruitment and initiation, supporting pre-initiation complex formation and elongation efficiency.
