Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to prevent contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select optimal production candidates.
Advantages:
- Superior specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal-origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody specifically recognizes Cynomolgus CD53.
Target Information
CD53 is a tetraspanin family transmembrane glycoprotein expressed in lymphoid-myeloid lineages. It forms complexes with other leukocyte surface proteins such as CD2, CD19, CD21, MHC II, VLA-4, and tetraspanins CD37, CD81, CD82, modulating signaling processes.
CD53 contributes to tumor cell radioresistance and exhibits anti-apoptotic effects. In thymus, CD53 is upregulated during T cell positive selection and is strongly expressed upon macrophage exposure to bacterial lipopolysaccharide, while neutrophil stimulation leads to downregulation of CD53 expression.
