Target Information
Ubiquitin은 세포 내 단백질을 26S proteasome을 통해 분해하도록 표적화하는 highly conserved 단백질입니다. 이 유전자는 ubiquitin과 ribosomal protein S27a의 융합 단백질을 암호화하며, 번역 후 처리되어 자유 ubiquitin과 ribosomal protein S27a를 생성합니다. Ribosomal protein S27a는 40S ribosomal subunit 구성 요소로, C4-type zinc finger 도메인을 포함하고 세포질에 위치합니다. 해당 유전자로부터 유래된 pseudogene이 존재하며, ribosomal protein L40과 S30도 각각 ubiquitin 또는 ubiquitin-like 단백질과 융합 형태로 합성됩니다. 여러 alternative splicing 변이체가 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
